A Lasting Impression
I am a lover of art.I am a lover of romance. I am a lover of books. Which is what made this book a very good read for me. Set in beautiful, historic Belmont Mansion in Nashville, the book never lacks for beautiful description or character development. Tamera Alexander paints a beautiful, well written picture of life in post civil war Belmont. The characters are genuine and memorable. You really care for, and believe in them. I loved the romance between Claire and Sutton. It never felt forced, and you couldn't help rooting for them. And I, along with Adelicia Acklen, am a lover of all things French, so that was quite nice.
I received a copy of this book from Bethany House Publishers for the purpose of reviewing.

The Shop Around the Corner
The Shop Around the Corner is such a beautiful movie. I enjoy it more each time I watch it. The story never fails to entertain. It's just such a sweet story! The characters are so likable. They all blend together to create an intricate little story that is so perfect in every way.
They need not have remade it, even though they all ready did. Skip You've Got Mail, watch this instead. It has more heart, better characters, and is far more endearing. It will stay with you much longer. And it gives you such a warm feeling when you watch it. Enjoy it for the wonderful classic that it is! You won't be able to stop yourself from watching it over and over again.

Secret baking ingredient
The secret ingredient that I use in all my baking is Starbucks vanilla syrup. It's not just good in coffee! I put it in every cookie or cake that I make. It's not to be used as a substitute to regular vanilla, but in addition. It adds a certain subtle, sweet taste to everything.
An Argonese Smuggler
This Painting, An Argonese Smuggler by William Danat is on display at the Art Institute of Chicago. It caught my attention for reasons I can't explain. I really like it.
