It is you

The Shop Around the Corner

The Shop Around the Corner is such a beautiful movie. I enjoy it more each time I watch it. The story never fails to entertain. It's just such a sweet story! The characters are so likable. They all blend together to create an intricate little story that is so perfect in every way.
They need not have remade it, even though they all ready did. Skip You've Got Mail, watch this instead. It has more heart, better characters, and is far more endearing. It will stay with you much longer. And it gives you such a warm feeling when you watch it. Enjoy it for the wonderful classic that it is! You won't be able to stop yourself from watching it over and over again.

Psalm 139

139 Lord, you have searched me and known me!
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high; I cannot attain it.

Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!
If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me,
and the light about me be night,”
12 even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is bright as the day,
for darkness is as light with you.

13 For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.

17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18lIf I would count them, they are more than the sand.
I awake, and I am still with you.

19 Oh that you would slay the wicked, O God!
O men of blood, depart from me!
20 They speak against you with malicious intent;
your enemies take your name in vain.
21 Do I not hate those who hate you, O Lord?
And do I not loathe those who rise up against you?
22 I hate them with complete hatred;
I count them my enemies.

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!

Secret baking ingredient

The secret ingredient that I use in all my baking is Starbucks vanilla syrup. It's not just good in coffee! I put it in every cookie or cake that I make. It's not to be used as a substitute  to regular vanilla, but in addition. It adds a certain subtle, sweet taste to everything.

The concept of Beauty and the Beast

Standing in the Rain

Care of

Stained Glass

The Prince was spoiled, selfish.
She could see that there was no love in his heart, so she transformed him into a hideous beast. And placed a curse on the entire castle.
The rose would bloom until his twenty-first year. If he could learn to love, and earn her love in return, the spell would be broken.
Years past, and the beast fell into despair. For who could ever learn to love a beast.

Letters to Juliet

 Letters to Juliet is a beautiful movie with a lot of heart. Set in the gorgeous Italian countryside, it makes every girl want to go to Italy and find Juliet's house. It is very romantic, and the story of Claire and Lorenzo is sweeter than the main love story, which is very sweet in and of itself.
The real heart of the story is the relationships. Not just romantic attachment, but real people who care about each other. Claire loves Sophie and cares about her even though she has just met her. And Sophie has real concern for people, including Claire. One of my favorite scenes in the whole movie is when Claire comes in and brushes Sophie's hair. Sophie has just expressed that she grew up without a mother and Claire becomes sort of a mother figure to her.
Everything Charlie does he is doing for someone else. Even though he seems crusty, he really cares about people. He loves his grandmother and only wants to see her happy. He would rather the people around him be happy than himself.
I especially love the ice cream scene. Not only is is cute, but it shows that Charlie really cares. Victor never to the time to stop and listen to Sophie, let alone read what she's written. Charlie carefully reads every word.
